Sometimes people have a specific subject in mind, most often a beloved place, view or home. Sometimes we choose together from the huge store of visual ideas that I am constantly collecting. I’ve made paintings for people ranging in size from 3”x4” to 2’x3’, often to go in specific places in their home, or to commemorate a special occasion.
I enjoy creating work this way because it gives me a chance to get to know and enjoy the very people who are most responsive to my work. If you would like to consider commissioning a painting please contact me either by email, phone or post and we can discuss the possibilities.

As long time admirers of your work, we were excited when you were able to do three paintings of our house. In the more than ten years that we have been collecting your work, we tried to decide how we might add some "personal" pieces without them being cliche-y, if you know what I mean. When you came over and took pictures and walked around the place, you obviously had a vision working and the end result was exactly what we had hoped for. As you know, we have quite a few notable artists represented on our walls, but almost everybody stops and asks, "who painted this?" when they see your work. It was the way you work with light that originally attracted us, but it is the overall warmth that emanates from your work that has universal appeal.
